Sean Busby Takes New Zeeland back Country

Scott Sorensen - Thursday, September 24, 2009

From the start, New Zealand was looking like it was going to be loaded with the goods again for a second time in a row.  An early season due to heavy snows and some of the earliest openings in years for the resort areas.  Another expedition, this time as a guide, showing the overseas goldmine to a few hearty souls looking to strike it rich in the Kiwi backcountry.  Too bad mother nature needs to play her course in the game every now and then. It is true that some things can be too good to be true.  Shortly before arrival into the very friendly country of New Zealand, northwesterlies swept through and brought a destruction of nothing but wind loaded scoured snow and crust.  Pockets of Armageddon land mined the back country playground of the Southern Alps from the Craigieburn Range down to the Remarkables.  The red flag was raised and we were alert.  We spent a good majority of time building test pits and studying crystals as we searched for the goods that were left.  As a guide, baiting my lure with powder promises, I wasn't feeling as much personal heat anymore.

Anarchy supports our troops in Iraq

Scott Sorensen - Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Anarchy adopted the 3rd platoon of Alpha Co 1/252 out of Woodland North Carolina aka 3rd Herd currently serving in Iraq. We sent over sunglasses for the troops to help protect their eyes from the bright sun and what ever else that gets flung at them while they are over their serving our country. Best of luck over there and come home safe soon.

Cory Lopez Dominates at the World games

Scott Sorensen - Sunday, August 09, 2009

Anarchy's Cory Lopez tears it up this year at the World Games in Costa Rica and brings home the Silver. In what many of the locals said was the hottest day of the year, the USA squad stayed cool in the blazing heat and set the pace for the international field. The first USA Open Men’s competitor in the water was Cory Lopez, who won his heat handily while working a variety of small peaks at both ends of main podium’s contest area. He was followed by Nat Young, Ben Bourgeois, and Austin Ware who each claimed solid victories in their respective heats as the crowds grew and covered the black sand beach at Playa Hermosa.

Kyle Rattray Takes Silver at the World Games

Scott Sorensen - Tuesday, August 04, 2009
Anarchy’s Kyle Rattray took home a silver medal despite windy conditions in the men’s wakeboard on Sunday at the World Games in Kaosiung, Taiwan. “The key for success today was just to stand up,” said Rattray. “I went early on and by having a clean run I knew I was going to make everyone else work a little bit to catch me. They were forced to throw harder stuff.”
